FSOJ: wk 11: Strawberry Fields

This weeks entry was inspired by Eni Oken’s ring tutorial… but I took it a step further and reworked it to creat a pendant using what I learned from her free form technique. It was great fun to make… taking a full 8 hours to produce. Rhodocrosite stone with facted pigeon’s blood ruby accents. The pendant sold six days after being listed on my website… I hated to see her go, but shipped her out to her new home where she would become a christmas gift. I hope Emily liked her :).

  1. Thanks Cristine. πŸ™‚ I was very proud of this piece and I can’t wait to make more in the same style. They take a lot of time, but they’re well worth it in the end. Thank you for viewing my work and for taking the time to comment. πŸ™‚

  2. Yes, you are correct. In the ornate ring entry (the one preceeding this one) it clearly states that I used her tutorial to create the ring. However, the leap from ornate ring to ornate pendant I took on my own utlizing her technique. She later came out with an ornate pendant tutorial at the behest of her fan club, but I converted the technique on my own and I am proud of that fact. πŸ˜‰
Eni is an amazing inspiration to us all, however. As a matter of fact, in my book, she’s a rock star. Pun intended. πŸ˜€

And I whole heartedly agree that Eni is an amazing inspiration to us all. As a matter of fact, in my book, she’s a rock star. Pun intended. πŸ˜€
