I’ve been saying for a while I wanted to make some fibulas for some of my Winged Things creations so that they could function either as a pendant/necklace or a kinetic brooch of sorts. Today I decided to play around a bit with fibulas and made two quick and easy pins in no time at all. I decided to make a fibula to match my Madame Flutterbye pendant (Winged Thing #4) first.
This one was actually the first fibula I made but it didn’t fit the pendant very well so I just added a few swaros and a bone cat for the heck of it.
You will be seeing more fibulas from me in the months ahead, no doubt a tutorial for them as well. 🙂
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Love what you have done with fibulas. Not being a pin person, I have not really tried them yet they seem versatile and have a great look. Maybe with a Delia tutorial, I will give them a try!
Thanks Christine 🙂 I’ve never been a pin person either but I got so many requests this fall from people looking for pins or brooches that I just knew I had to put them on my list. This is at least a start! 🙂 Many more experiments will be done – until I’m comfortable with them, I am sure.
Great idea….i think Flutterbye looks great as a pin…and the little kitty is just charming!
Thank you Sue. 🙂
Try “Happy Mango” they have new stuff in. Some are rediculously expensive, some “I really can’t afford that now, and some “I really shouldn’t but I have to have that. I find a lot of their stuff really unique. Enjoyed yesterday as always. Really looking forward to 22nd.
Thanks Doreen! And thank you to you and Jean for driving all the way from Navarre to come to my first Gallery showing. 🙂 It really made my night.
