My Six Ton Jewelry Press has Arrived!

I’ve been coveting the Potter USA and Bonny Doon presses for some time. The problem is that both are out of the price range of my humble studio at the moment, but I found the economical answer to my prayers. πŸ™‚ This is the six ton jewelery press from JewelryPress.com. It’s much more affordable running just under $300 (compared to $500 to $1000 or more) and it covers all of the basics needed in my little studio. See the video below:

  1. How exciting!!! Thanks for posting this – I had wondered how exactly these worked, so I appreciate the demonstration! I hope the boo-boo on your finger heals quickly! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Angie. The boo boo was a battle wound from a project a couple of days ago. Getting better. πŸ™‚ So far I am loving my jewelry press. When I get more toys and can do more I’ll be back to share again.

    • Happy to share. There’s far more than can be done with these presses than this little video shows. I’ll can’t wait to get some silhouette dies to play with. There will be more demos to come. πŸ™‚

  2. Congrats Delia on your Very Princess-y Press. I hope it brings you many hours of creative joy. Looks like lots of fun!

  3. Delia~
Thanks for sharing this video, I just found this press online last night. I use mostly 18 gauge brass, copper, aluminum & am starting to work with 24 gauge too. Do you feel that this press can accommodate both?
    Thanks!

    • Sandy,
Yes. It can accommodate all of those gauges. I have really enjoyed my press and made good use of it. I most often use 24 or 22 gauge on it, but have used up to 18 gauge without a hitch. Haven’t tried 16, but as I understand it you can do 16 too, but it will wear your jack out a wee bit faster than it otherwise would. Jacks have to be replaced eventually either way, but you can get them at your local hardware store. Tell Kyle at JewelryPress.com that you saw the video. πŸ™‚
